Hello all,
I currently have a HP DV6563cl and it has been (and still is) wonderful.
However I am very tired of either carrying my desktop or one of my 4890s with me to play games NOT in my apartment. My 8400GS is just not cutting it anymore even at minimal gfx settings at 800x600 XD
I am looking at getting a new notebook as a post Christmas present.
I really like the specs of this notebook
ASUS G51J-A1
However it is really large and heavy for a 15" notebook and I will only get 1.5 hours of battery if I'm lucky.

I'm really liking this notebook
ASUS N81Vp-D2
It has reasonable battery life and good gaming performance for a 14" notebook.
I am planning on waiting until at least after CES for all the new tech to see if there is a Core i5 refresh for this notebook. If it had a backlit keyboard and wasn't so glossy it would be perfect.

I have checked Newegg, Amazon, Sager, iBuypower and BestBuy.

Is there another notebook from another site or vendor that I'm not aware of that would fit my requirements better?

Thanks for your time and suggestions in advance,

Robert

The one you pick - ASUS G51J-A1 is very good for gaming with a good price.

There are also some model you may like such as Alienware M17X, Gateway P series, HP envy 15... They are all top gaming laptops can play latest games in high details.
