Are Sony TV's better then ToshibaTv's?

That is an entirely subjective question. Sony's are miles better reliabilty-wise, but Toshiba's are inexpensive.

The really bottom-basement ones from each brand are made by the same company, along with Philips' cheapies - some Chinese outfit called Orion or Aurion or something like that.
