1_What is your budget?

$1200

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

14 or 14.1 Inch.

3_What screen resolution do you want?

1280x800 or something close

4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

Yes. Thus the faster the processor and RAM (and more of it) the better.

5_How much battery life do you need?

As much as possible. - At least 3 hours. (that is 3 hours for real not just what the manufacturer claims and 3 hours after using it for 2 years.)

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Laptop will not be used much for games.

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, watching movies, Etc.)

Will be used to watch movies, hulu and flash intensive applications.

8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need?

Minimum of 200 gB

9_If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post the links to them.

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop?

At least 3 years.

11_What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

A regular DVD drive is sufficient. Blu-ray would be nice but not necessary. If it was missing an optical drive but that came with a significant weight saving then not having one would be ok.

12_Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

Had a dell - seemed a bit flimsy. Apple seems overpriced.

13_What country do you live in?

USA

14_Please tell us any additional information if needed.

Would like to minimize the weight. <= 5.5 lbs. So 4.5 lbs would be great. But a nine cell battery the resulted in a longer battery life under 5.5 lbs would be appreciated. Laptop will be used a lot where it cannot be plugged in. Would like bluetooth, n, and a camera would be nice. Will be used a lot on a VPN where processing power and speed in important.

9 cells battery is available, but I recommend you test the original battery that comes with it first.

I found this one:

Its faster than the ASUS UL80 Series UL80Vt-A1 but it's heavier. I wish I could find something like the one below but lighter. I could even forgo the DVD drive.
