i sodered the jack.now the computer charges but shuts down after an hour or so.when restarted,shuts down in 2 to 5 mins.should i just replace with a new jack or is the batt a problem as its 3yrs old and wasnt usd for 2years.help,the computer is like new

Try running the laptop with no battery.
