Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > Click your username > remove password

The issue is Acer uses a program to control this option. Even if you don't use a password it brings up the log in screen when you come out of sleep or hibernation mode. Even changing the Password Protection Option in the Control Panel>Power Options>System Settings does not change the setting, it just reverts back. Even changing the options in Advanced Options does not remove the log in screen on wake up.
