I'm looking at replacing my Gateway MX-7120. The only upgrades to it are 1.5GB RAM and 80 GB 7200 RPM HDD. I am in the process of making arrangements to go overseas from America for about a year.
1_What is your budget? <$1,000
2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? 15" - 16"
3_What screen resolution do you want? 1024 x 768 or better; 70 Hz or better
4_Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? Portable with some oomph.
5_How much battery life do you need? 4+ hours (Gateway is lucky to get 2 hours
6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? No games
7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing,watching movies, Etc.) Webcam / Skype, Word processing, spreadsheet, light photo touchup, e-mail, web.
8_How much storage (H.D.D Capacity) do you need? 150GB or better

10_How long do you want to keep your laptop? 4 - 5 years
