Please could someone tell me if an Acer 5738Z with 4Gb ram will come with Vista 32-bit or 64-bit?

I can find no information on this, though I suppose common sense would dictate they would provide the 64-bit version so that all the ram is accessible.

Thanks for the info, but I notice it's for a Windows 7 model.

The information probably holds for Vista as well, but I've seen both Vista 32-bit and Vista 64-bit mentioned for this laptop (in unofficial places such as Ebay listings), hence my state of mild confusion.

If it has 4GB of RAM, it probably has 64 bit on it. Why not go with Windows 7? You may have to pay a bit more, but it is well worth it, especially in comparison to Vista. Where do you plan to buy it from?

I was thinking of buying this from Ebuyer;

It seems a good deal, considering the 4Gb of DDR3 RAM, especially with the free Win7 upgrade. However, having just received a rather unhelpful response from Acer on this query (namely, 'check the website'), I am reminded of the frustrations I've experienced with Acer support in the past.
