Why wont win dvd play blue ray on hdmi

I have brand new Sony Vaio Blue Ray lap top which plays blue rA=ay discs no problem however when I connect it to my Sony 1080 TV screen it displays an error message saying it is not supported and shuts down. Win DVD. Others have had this problem on this blog but I can't find a solution?

Sounds like the external graphics port on the laptop is not HDCP compliant. Check to specs of the laptop to make sure that it is.

use anydvd HD=it will take away the HDCP requirement
