I have been given two old satellite recievers RCA DRD203RW with a Dish Access Card 4 and a Philips DSX5353R with an older Direct TV card. Can these recievers still be activated and used? Can the cards still be activated? What can I do with these? e-mail me at k_paul01@hotmail.com

Solution
The receivers will still work, but the cards won't. Directv will not activate Type 4 cards. You can ask for clean cards at 1800-Directv, but you will be charged $20 US per card swap.

No free service - you still need to be a Directv customer.
