What are the options for hooking up LCD HDTV to computer as monitor?

What are ethernet cables for is that a way to hookup together?

Someone please help me. When I hooked up by the RGB cable I
get an error message that says Invalid format. Same cable same computer works with another HDTV.

You need to find a resolution and frequency that your HDTV will accept. I have my HTPC with an ATI HD4670 connected via the HDMI port to an Olevia 232T. I had to use the 1080i resolution selection in Catalyst Control Center. All other resolutions resulted in the "Invalid Format" message you're getting.
