Solved! Build a new home had tv cable had 7 outlets put in only one works .

we buildt a new hime and had 7 lines coming into the house only one works. why are we not able to get another line going with another reciever box????we went to the basment to match up what line go where with a toner. when hook up a reciever to that box and line to satallite it still does not work.can you nhelp me.

If you have a satellite dish you will need a special splitter called a multiswitcher to connect multiple boxes to the LNBs in the dish itself (you may have as many as three of these on the dish. Your dish may have the multiswitcher mounted on it so all the cables would connect there and could not be split at another spot unless it was moved. Check it out at this link
