I would like to see a diagram of the inside so I know what to look for while replacing fans

I don't have one I can post, but normally the only easy one to replace is the one you can directly see after removing the rear cover. There is one under the lap housing as well.

In terms of likelihood of failure, you're more apt to put a thermal sensor in yours. Which means pulling the optical block, or about two beers and one curse word.

Are you getting a trouble code or is the set still functional?
