Hi all;

My wife and I are utter and complete newbies when it comes to home theater equipment. We would like to hook a decent blu-ray player + amplifier + speaker system + subwoofer to our living room television.

This is a blank slate install - all we have is the TV.

The only difficulty we're facing is any rear (side of room opposite television) speakers- those would need to be small (20 cm / 10 inches or less in height), and wireless. We can wire them for power, but I have no way to run speaker wire to them - they will be mounted to the ceiling.

We have a wireless network - no idea if that's relevant.

We have these components attached to the TV:
■Samsung 46" LCD television.
■Xbox 360
■HD cable box / recorder (unit from the cable company)

The TV has the following ports:

* HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface version 1.3): 4 (3 rear/1 side)
* Ethernet port
* Component video: 2 (Y, Pb, Pr)
* S-Video input: 1 side/1 rear
* A/V inputs: 1 side/1 rear
* PC Inpuy (D-Sub): 1
* RF antenna inputs: 2
* HDMI-CEC
* Headphone jack

Budget:

We'd like to spend $1500 or less.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!
