hello, i am looking for a new hdtv, my budget is about 5-600$ ive been looking at a vizio 32 in, i am wondering what your thoughts are, i have heard they are great tvs, but i am unsure. I am looking for a 1080P.

Thanks.

I've seen a Vizio rather briefly; my bro has one. He bought it for the various inputs and PIP and 'cause it was cheap.

Personally, I didn't think it was all that good. Colors were kinda flat and blacks were more like very dark grays. For the price I guess he really doesn't have any complaints. But my range for my own HDTV is about $2,000 - $2,500.

Why not email the editor at www.HDTVSOlutions.com--Dick DeJong? He's reviewed a lot of Vizios and has seen them up against a lot of other models side by side. He'll answer you too.

At 32" I'd recommend forgoing 1080p. You won't see any difference between it and 720p or 1080i. Rather than spending extra for that "feature", concentrate on getting the best picture instead. You'll probably find that a 720p set for that price looks better.

Agreed, unless he's gonna use it as a gaming monitor, in which case he'll be sitting up fairly close and will want those 1080 vertical pixels :)
