My girlfriend has bought a Dell Inspiron 15 with these specs:

2Ghz Pentium dual core t4200
3gb DDR2 800Mhz
Intel GMA 4500mhd
320gb hdd
Vista premium

SHe currently plays the sims 3 on the family desktop with these specs:

2ghz athlon something not sure which
1gb DDR400
256mb 6800gt
100gb hdd
Windows xp pro

If she can ply it on this low end system surely she can play it on her laptop? Or is the Graphics chipset worse?

THanks in adv for help

Having a dual-core CPU does not double the clockspeed.

The 4500 will probably be slightly slower than the 6800, but it will play.

It wont play very well on the laptop, if it plays at all. You need a dedicated graphics card to play games on a laptop really. 6800GT has a lot of go for an old card. Its all about the graphics card when it comes to playing games on a laptop im afraid.
