i just got a pioneer 60" plasma (6020 - the non-elite) and it is amazing. since it is expensive, i want to make sure it is protected from electrical surges, but at the same time i don't just want the most expensive surge protector. i will also most likely need to plug in my receiver (hk avr635), sub (old infinity 10"), dvd player and xbox360. i have two separate wall outlets so in past i used 2 different generic surge protectors and tried to divide up the load even though probably go to the same line anyway. what would you recommend?

You should consider UPS like this one http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0926INGFS10063394&catid=21251&logon=&langid=EN as it does triple duty than just surge protection: a surge protection; voltage regulator; and backup power supply, which allows you enough time to turn your system properly. It maybe expensive but gives it's greater protection for your equipment.

You should also cosider a unit that protect you're cable line like this one. http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0926INGFS10017169&catid=21251&atab=3&logon=&langid=EN, if you can find a UPS that has the cable and phone protection is better.
