I own the Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826158051), and it works very well. However, the only problem I have is that when doing any recording through the microphone, it picks up anything coming through my speakers as well. I have the stereo mix muted too, and whenever I mute the Mic in, it mutes both the recording from the mic and what is coming out of the speakers.

Is there any way to fix this? I have a Realtek HD Audio sound card. I would like to get this resolved because it makes it hard for other people to hear me when a game's sound is drowning out my voice.

Thanks.

does it pick things up via air or thru computer?

I mean the mic will always "listen to" whats going on, so make sure the levels in speakers are down or mute.

if that's the case but it still records signal meant for speakers together with your voice than it is the settings:

make sure the recording source is set only to the mic input, mute playback
