Hi, does anyone know a way I can reset a BIOS supervisor password on a Lenovo T500? We have one here but the old IT manager who left, changed the supervisor password and now we cannot get into or do anything.
I have looked at the manual online and it tells you how to reset the user password (remove battery and backup battery and leave till after the POST and it should be clear) however that doesn't work with a supervisor password and Lenovo will only change the motherboard and they quote a £220 price just for the labour of this!! They don't mention the price of a motherboard (probably because they won't change it and have a "super" master password) but with postage as well, this is not cost effective...
Anyone out there with any bright idea's?
