I recently bought an Asus EeePC 10.1" it came with a 160GB hard drive, I was wondering if it is possible to buy a 500GB Hard Drive and use it.
For some reason I could not find any netbooks with a hard drive bigger than 160GB... I don't understand why....

some netbooks use a 1.3 inch hdd which doesnt come in sizes that big. if you can find a hdd that fits in there in a size you want then theres no reason why you can't use a 320gb hdd.

some manufacturers use smaller hdds to keep the cost of the netbook down.

What programs could a netbook possibly run that you'll fill up 160GB? :heink:

I would like to do the same thing. What I want is a multimedia device to store my photographs, that has a large enough screen to see them, and watch videos. Plus it will do everything else, including the internet....
