Does anyone know is there is a sound driver out there that I can use to get the sound working on my HP NX9110 notebook running Vista Home Premium. I have tried the generic AC97 drivers but to no avail.

Thanks,

Hello John,

I have recently installed Windows 7 RC on my nx9110 and it runs like a rocket. I had some trouble with video and audio but finally it worked out well. The audio driver is from here: http://download.it168.com/driverfiles2/0301/DREAMBOOK%20A1%20Audio.zip. It is a bit tricky to install but it works fine. It should work in Vista if it works on 7. It`s an XDDM driver, but if you push it very hard it will install...

Good luck

Joe

JohnSteinberg,

If you continue to have trouble with drivers in Windows Vista Home Premium you might like to check for additional support directly from the source. Microsoft does have an official Windows Vista Support Forum located here http://tinyurl.com/d5r9v3. It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams.
