new laptop for a student, around 800$

hi everyone
my friend is staying at the us at the moment and he asked me to help him find the right laptop for him.

the price range is 700-800$. he will be using it for university but also for lite games.
its important that the cpu will be preaty strong and reliable and also at least 2G of ram. no need for os/
i will prefer a model with international warranty, because he is not from the us.

please help us, we are clueless.
