Crysis:
could not figure out why the Windows XP setup refused to give good FPS results in this game, but it is clearly a software issue as in all other games XP and Vista had extremely similar results. Nevertheless, the Crysis performance in Vista was absolutely astonishing; it really does take dual 8800M-GTX graphics cards to drive this game at a 1920x1200 resolution. The game was a joy to play at such a high resolution and FPS.

Conclusion:

The system performance of the Sager NP9262 is truly desktop-like. Overall system performance was astonishing thanks to the desktop processor, 4GB of fast DDR2-800 RAM (most laptops have 667MHz), and a super-fast RAID 0 hard disk array. Its gaming performance easily bests that of any notebook we have tested; not even Crysis could slow this monster down.

Although i dont care about 3DMARK 06 but 13759 is very good for a lapotp :) but as i said its not important for me the gaming is more important :D

Wow very good results for a laptop in almost all games XP performed better but in VISTA Crysis did better and it has a very good results
1920x1200 with everything @ high the average is 34.7 which is incredible IMO

I've had mine for 5 months now, and really it does beat the living daylights out of any laptop and the majority of desktops.

My only complaint is the fact that it gets so bloody hot.

Thought I'd hate laptops my entire life, but I'll love this one till the day it dies.

Maz,

Who did you buy it thru? And your 3d Mark score is very nice.

Im looking at buying a 5793 this summer if I can get the bucks together.

Very nice, remember my old 2003 Sage with 128 md vram, was I the stuff!

Wonder why with everything else macked out, they chose 5400 vs 7200 rpm drives... strange, cause it aint for the power savings on that beast!

Enjoy.

Love to get my hand on a dinosaur like that , but how 's the realiability and durability of SAGER. I haven't seen this brand much in the market .. or in aisa

guys i think u have misunderstood something :D
I have not bought it, i have posted a review of it from other sites :D its not mine :D

I myself like it very much and if i had the money i would definitely go for it

Having owned mine for almost a year now, I have absolutely no complaints. It has a decent warranty (I only got the 1 year, but it comes with a 3 year). Build quality is excellent. The laptop is still rock solid after heavy college use and nearly 24/7 use. I would definitely buy again (maybe from a different reseller though).

How does it fair on games?

The one i have is the predecessor to the 5793, so it's a little weaker performance wise. I am a huge fan of the Call of Duty series and it's about all I play. COD4 runs at 1600x1200 at a very playable 50FPS(my guess of the avg). COD2 plays at a whopping 1920x1200 at 75-100FPS. I think my CPU is a little on the weak side, but considering it's a laptop, it still packs a punch. I also played BF2142 for a time at 1600x1200 and it played well.

(COD2 and COD4 are based off of online gameplay while BF2142 was singleplayer)

Yeah, it rocks. I think if I had the choice I would have bumped my CPU up to the T7600. But as it stands, that would cost me about $600 which I refuse to pay. lol

I OC'ed my T7400 up to T7600 levels. I don't really see much of a tangible difference in real world apps, though synthetics upped by a bit. Then again, I don't do much encoding or CPU heavy apps...I think CAD modelling is GPU heavy, not CPU.

I just recently had my NP9261 upgraded to the 9262, they had the offer to replace the motherboard and put in the two new 8800M GTX cards. I had dropped my laptop (I really felt like crying as I watched it fall) and had to have the screen replaced ($575 cough... cough... for the 1900x1200 screen), and I had them do the upgrade while it was in the shop. The service department at Sager is beyond helpful and great to work with.

Originally it ran crysis decently well at med levels at 1280x1024, not the best but that was also using the 8700M videos cards. Here in a few days I'll beable to test out Crysis again with the new cards installed seeing as the disk for it is in Iraq and I'm in California. Oh the anticipation.

Its an absolutely wonderful laptop, besides the heat and weight which suck but are not detrimental. And why would you care if you bought something like this. It's all or nothing in the world of kick ass laptops.

1900x1200 WUXGA display
Q6700 Intel Core 2
4gigs 800mhz ram
2x Nvidia 8800M GTX 1024mb in SLI
Panasonic UJ220 Blu-Ray recorder
2x 160gb 7200rpm serial ata 300 disk drives in Raid 0

This baby screams (literally if it starts getting really hot) speed wise. Just be wary of the setup I got cost me $4100 when I first bought it. Its about the same price now and so worth it. And feel lucky you won't have to pay the $1600 for the upgrade! They didn't really warn anyone that they were releasing the 8800M GTX until a couple weeks after I got mine ugh.

I've spent way too much on it, but I wouldn't recommend anything else. Much better than hauling a desktop back and forth to Iraq with me.

Complete waste of money. If you want to game then do it on a desktop, way cheaper. The thing ways 12 pounds, a mid tower wouldn't weigh a whole lot more.
