Pinnacle Studio DV plug-in for Premiere

I currently own a Pinnacle studio DV card, and I'd like to use it with Adobe Premiere. Unfortunatly, this doesn't work without some kind of plug-in. On the Pinnacle Web site, they say it can't work because Premiere doesn't support Direct show, while on the Adobe Web site they say it can work with a plug-in. Nice game of ping-pong, right?
I'm pretty pissed off, because there are some firewire card that are less expensive than the Pinnacle and those cards work with Premiere...
Can someone help me?

I believe that Premiere 6 is out now and that it supports all kinds of video formats "Type1 and Type2" DV-AVI and Quick time. You won't need extra plug-ins.

I think your best bet is to email Pinnacle. They will be you best source as to what is support on the card and or how to get that support.
