I've been playing with an M-Audio Transit lately. Mostly as an interface for
a Liberty Instruments pod. It seems ok, but it only has the 1/8" stereo
jacks for input and output.

Looks like the 1/8" input has a mic preamp--can that be disabled? This is mostly going to be used for cassette dubbing.

The driver applet has a selector knob with the following:

Boost:

0 dB (Off)
+14 dB
+20 dB
+26 dB

I've been using it with 0 dB (Off) and putting in -10dBV nominal signals.

M-Audio Audiophile USB. We'll be using one at AES -- stop by our booth.
