Hi,

I'm trying to connect a laptop with win98 to a local network via a
PCMCIA card I found in a drawer - I need help finding a driver for it.

When I stick it in the PCMCIA slot the PC tries to install PCMCIA
FastEthernet.

On the front it says in red letters:

PC CARD
Ethernet

On the back it says - also in red letters:

This device complies with Part 15 in the FCC Rules. Operation is
subject to the followin conditions:
-this device may not cause harmfull interference.
-this device must accept any interference recieved, including
interference that may include undesired operation.
CAUTION
-Keep connectors clean.
-Keep dry.
-Avoid heat and sunlight.
-Do not drop, bend og chrush.
S/N
Made in Taiwan

The front and back sticker also has a green background and a design of
some sort of astrological map in red

Any help will be appreciated.

If it is a PCMCIA ethernet card and it tries to install ethernet
drivers, isn't that what you want?

There should be an FCC number on the card, something like "FCC ID".

If you can find that number, go to fcc.gov and look it up. That should at
least tell you the manufacturer, and perhaps the model number.
