If anyone is shopping around for a digital SLR these days, and a lot of
people are since the price of these puppies has come down alot, here's a
good article and review to read about the Nikon D70. Since I've purchased
this camera it amazes me everytime I use it. The speed alone is incredible
and how easy it is to make major changes without going deep into menus.
Here, it speaks for itself.

I've used the D70 for several months. Excellent camera. User experiences
with their various lenses is available on my D70 page:

Hmm, I'm suprised the ratings for my 28-70 came in so high. I don't have
enough experience to judge but it seemed not as crisp as I expected.
Some consolation though. Several people actually thought it was sharper
than the kit lens which is faster with less zoom so I'd think that
wouldn't be true. The price is only $100 more not counting the kit discount.

I'm satisfied with my 28-70, but I've mounted the 24-120 VR as my "always
on" lens. The VR really helps. I've made (and sold!) 16"x20" portraits
handheld with the 24-120 VR. On a tripod, the 28-70 may be sharper, and
it's somewhat faster.
