Am looking for a laptop to take to use on the go (have a main desktop at
home) so im just looking for a laptop that is as light as possible and has a
good battery life,
doesnt need to be p4 centrino, will be happy with a p3 if it can do the job,
theres just two things it requires;
wireless lan 54mb/g needed
small as poss 12" screen or less
have looked at the dell x300 which was good..besides the battery life, not
sure about sony very expensive compared to the dell
any suggestions? thank you

Averatec AV3225HS. 12.1" screen, 512MB RAM, 80211.g, weighs 4.2 pounds. I got
one for $700 from Micro Center after various rebates.

Sharp and Fujitsu both make ultralight laptops with screens 12" or
less, and weigh around 3-4 pounds. I'm writing this on a Sharp MV12W
(couple of years old). Check out their websites.
