Replay TV with Digital Set top box?

I have a ReplayTV 5504 and standard cable which I record from. I also have
an OTA HD set top box. An LG LST-4200A, which has simultanous HD and SD
outputs. I would like to record the better quality SD output (As compared
to my cable) with my ReplayTV, but I can't seem to find a code for that
device, or even that class of device. Is there some way of doing this?
Thanks.

Is the LG also a satellite box? If so, there may be codes listed that
way.

It's also possible to use an IR-capable home automation system to
translate IR, although this is more complex and slower.

No, it's strictly an OTA box.

Sounds kind of complicates.

It is. And you'd need 2 remote controls (the LG one, and one for a
device the Replay supports) to program. I haven't done such a thing.
Maybe it would work with my HA controller (Ocelot).

Does LG make any satellite boxes? I'm not telling you to buy anything
else, but the different models of a certain brand often share IR
codes. Some other code may work too.

BTW, how much did you pay for that OTA box?

From lg's manual it looks to me like the sd
output is the same as replays svideo connector.
If so you should be able to connect the lg's sv
connector to the replays sv input connector. I
didn't look to see if the 55xx series include ir
blaster codes for the lg but would bet you can
find them somewhere.

Not sure. They probably do, but I'll have to check.

About $250. It's a $300 box, (it's one of the higher end OTA set top
boxes) but it was on sale for $279 and they knocked off a little more
because it was the one on display. It's an outstanding reciever.
