I am considering changing from Comcast cable TV to satellite TV.
A Google search brings up thousands of hits using the terms
"satellite", "TV" and "comparison", most of which seems to be URL's of
DirectTV or Dish Network, or their re-sellers.

So...my question is simple:

Is anyone aware of any unbiased, disinterested, independent reporters
or consumer groups that can be read to get an HONEST review of these 2
major competitors? I'm interested in U.S. services only.

Thank you for any help!

Sorry, I don't have an answer to your question, but I wanted to
recommend something to you.

One way to get opinions, and to see satellite in action, is to look
for houses within a few blocks of your that have a dish. Just knock on
the door, introduce yourself as a neighbor, and nicely explain you're
thinking of getting satellite and ask if you could ask a few questions
and maybe see what the PQ looks like.

When I was looking to reroof my house, I saw a house a few blocks away
that had a metal roof. Inerested to get some info., I did the same
thing, knocked and explained what I was up to, and the homeowner was
perfectly happy to talk about the positives and negatives of metal
roofing, and share his research with me.

Chances are you'll run into at least one person willing to share info.
with you, and let you see the PQ.

Just a suggestion.
