Logitech G400 DPI Startup Issue

I recently purchased a logitech g400 gaming mouse and the problem i am facing is that whenever i boot up, the dpi of the mouse is always the lowest. the default dpi is set to 2500 but when the computer boots it goes to a minimum of 400 and once windows loads completely it shift to default. i'm running the latest 8.4 driver software. please help!

"Our Logitech G400 needs to have our Logitech Gaming Software running in order to be able to run with the desired configuration. If you want any settings to be saved in your mouse, you will need a mouse with on-board memory, however, the G400 does not include on-board memory.
