I normally don't rip DVDs, so I don't know anything about it other than there are little tools to do so, so my question is this could I simply rip a DVD to ISO and archive that way, then mount it with deamon tools for play back? I ask because I am leaving the country and need to take some lectures with me and I'm not sure about the encrypting methods, that is to say I don't know if it will effect a 1:1 copy of the DVD?

Not familiar with ripping either.
But you can download some DVD rippers and read tutorials or guides carefully.

Thanks, I'll obviously test them before I go but with all the encryption and such with DVD's would you suppose I have any problem with the ISO since it's 1:1? I hate to arrive and none of my copies work
