Hello, I'm a novice to video editing and I'm looking for a software application that is easy to use. I don't need any special effects, etc.
I just like to transfer my home movie from DV Camera to DVD and make some small changes. Is there a program you would recommend? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Solution
use windows movie maker, not advanced and easy to use, you can always chk youtube for tutorials.

if you dont have WMM then you can get it from here

Thank you both for writing. Have downloaded Windows Live Movie Maker and it's just what I have been looking for. The U-Tube videos are also helpful. Still have to get used to editing without the timeline though.....
Most of all, thank you both for taking the time to answer my question!!

Thank you for writing. I have looked into Corel Video Studio but WLMM is more what I'm looking for. Even so, I still have a few issues to iron out because there is no real timeline with this program. All in all, I will stick with WLMM at least until I learn more about making videos. Thanks again!
