Subtitle out of sync in video edited in WMM.

Hello,
i am creating videos (still background with changing lyrics) for my church. i had it timed perfect on my computer. however, when i hooked the computer up to the tv monitor - there was about a 2 second delay in the lyrics. how can i fix this ? i am totally new to wmm, so am learning by messing up ! thanks, jeri

By wmm, you mean Window movie maker?

yes. its basically karaoke videos that im creating. any idea if theres a setting for this - i cant be the only person having this issue.
