Computer crashes while watching videos

Hello everyone. I've been having a problem watching videos or going on sites that use flash. Sites like youtube or hulu would sometimes, but often completely crash my computer and would require a hard reboot. The screen would go completely black, white, or blue with horizontal strips when a crash occurs. Please help me out and thanks for your time! I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the latest Adobe flash player and the problem still exists.
