Open ms office

hello people, any body out there got an answer to my small problem, have ms office on my acer one note book but i have been told that the memory is too small to open it.(The note book is only 1 gb) If i want to use access for instance i will have to laod it on to a usb and then open it up from there. Is this right and if it is how do i do this. HELP
