Office 2003 +Printer Crash

When trying to print from Word 2003 no print options appear and Word Freezes. Excel prints fine. Word 2003 used to be installed on its own before someone installed Office 2003 over it. I've tried a new print driver, uninstalling the individual Word installation, repairing and completing a full Office 2003 and even tried downloading the office cleanup utility non of which have helped.

Any thoughts on what I could try next?

Try the printer first, install it then under the fax and printer right click on the printer you have installed and try a test print - if it print correctly then it is ok if not you can browse for the manufacturer of the printer like hp.com then download the latest installer and update fix for that printer (specify the OS too). It is not on Office.
