Why not post your problem and precisely what you are trying to find. If it
is an easily answered question someone might have the answer or point you to
where you can find it.

You can buy Sony service manuals from many Sony distributors such as Fulton,
Andrews or Tritronics. Most servicers who have them in electronic form
would be reluctant to give them away because they pay ~$300 per year for the
subscription and are prohibited by their agreement with Sony from openly
distributing them.

Do a search on the AVS forum. Someone posted a link to a 34HS510 service
manual there. I looked at it (a .pdf file) and it was a complete service
manual.

Would you be able to post that link here ? I've been searching but the one
link I found does not have that document anymore.

Thanks

Too many problems to post here - mainly it is geometry related since they
changed the tube one time and readjusted the deflection yoke another time
it is so much out of alignment that it's not funny. I'm realluy looking fir
that manual.

If you found the reference to the link on the AVS forum and the document
isn't there any longer, I can't help you. I checked to see if I saved the
..pdf but I didn't. FWIW when I skimmed thru the manual I decided it was too
initimidating (and I am an engineer!!!) to try to mess with anything, so
that's why I didn't save the .pdf.

Why? Unless you really know what you're doing, you can really screw up
your tv.

FWIW: This set is new, and should still be under manufacturer's warranty.
Why not just get them involved, if you can find your operations manual then
call the 800 # for SONY Customer Relations. Have them send out a qualified
technician and resolve the problem per Manufacturer's Specifications!!!<

I am also an engineer - an electronics engineer at that but I haven't
worked in the field for a long long time (computers is my field) and I must
admit that I don't know much about televisions. I still like to tinker
though - I don't think I'll do any damage (famous last words ?)
