just wondering if anyone else out there with the toshiba 34hfx84 has
had their tv simply turn itself off after a electrical popping sound?
i notice that after it did this, the red on/off led light below the
screen, was flashing on AND off (instead off OR on). it made the same
type of sound it makes normally when turning the tv and off, only it
was twice as loud. both times it happened we were not in the room
watching it, so i can't say what the screen did.

i had it plugged into a 2 outlet plug built into our new ent center,
that was plugged into a power strip that i've had all along. it has
not popped off over the 8 hrs or so that i've watched it since
switching it. could it have been the power outlet in the ent center?
should i gamble that it was?

any ideas? it is exchangable, but would cost a delv fee of about $40
to swap it.

thanks all.

Under warranty??, have it repaired, or bite the $$$ and exchange it. Not a
normal functional attribute.
