I'm a Sony CRT HDTV fan.... Have a 34HS510 Sony HDTV...

The Sony 30HS420 has superb HD Picture guts...
It is short the pic and picture option...
Cost should be nearly identical to Panny WX54...

Panasonic CT30WX54 has the Pic & Pic option..
Panny weighs 10 Lbs less, & has slightly smaller case.

I have really not seen the 30WX54 in action...

It is very difficult to beat a SONY CRT HD TV in quality!

I have the Sony 30. I just got it a couple months ago. This weekend I went
to Costco and they had all of their rear proj. TVs on display in one area.
There was a 50+ inch Panasonic that was incredible, it was $1399 and stood
out among the other sets. If I was shopping for a new HDTV I would really
consider a rear proj. tv. They have come so far it is incredible. Don't
get me wrong, I love the 30" Sony, but I was just blown away with the huge
panasonic.
