And silly me always thought Apollo was the Greek god of prophecy, but maybe they build the Apollon Temple in Delphi (you know, the one with the famous oracle) for another Apollo

Naturally, with a language that as old as Greek, meaning will change over time or even branch into total opposites.
See for example UK vs. US English and the meaning of words and phrases like "bitch" or "knock up" which have a VERY different meaning in these two modern variations of one language.
