How to Fix the Issue if the Netflix App Keeps Crashing

The Netflix app is a very neat one, catering to the preferences of different users with its rich interface. It’s also quite stable across all platforms. However, the app does crash and at times, it becomes almost impossible to play anything on it. It completely freezes or does not even launch.
The problem can be solved without much difficulty. Here’s how you can fix it.

1. Close Background Apps
Some background processes might interfere with the Netflix app, either rerouting data or bugging the app itself. Close all these processes, and force the shutdown of apps running in the background. After this, restart the Netflix app. You should find it launches properly.
In certain cases, the Netflix app does not allow screen recording apps to run simultaneously with it. Make sure you disable or uninstall such apps before launching Netflix.

2. Reboot your device
Reboot your device, and try restarting the app. If the problem is with an uncleared cache, this will solve it. The registry can also get jammed if you are multitasking extensively on your device and keeping several apps open. Even this issue will be resolved.
The RAM in your device might be overloaded with streamed media, or by other apps. In this case, rebooting your device will clear the RAM and allow it to launch.

3. Uninstall and re-install
As a last resort, you can uninstall and reinstall the app. In most circumstances, this works just fine. Simply uninstall the app and re-install it from the app store. If the problem is not yet fixed, try downloading the installation file straight from Netflix’s website. Re-installing the updated app helps with bug fixes that come with the latest version of it.
