What are Rifts?
The rift acts as a mini-portal or you could say a map-controlled jumping pad. There are some misconceptions regarding the rifts and one of them is that some people think that they would be transported to a different area through a rift but that’s not true. What a rift does is that it will reset your landing and will make you fall in the same area where the rift was found.
How to Use Fortnite Rifts?
Using the rifts is not a difficult thing and all it takes is just walking up to a rift and entering in it. The best use of a rift is when you are chased by an enemy. So if you use a rift then, you will fall from the sky that will help you escape the enemy. And even if the enemy is waiting for you below, you can always glide towards another location and completely get away from him. One thing that you need to keep in mind is that it makes a loud noise when you use the rift and that can alert the nearby enemies. So only use it when you really need to use it.
Fortnite Rift Locations:
At first it may look like the rifts appear at random locations across the map in a match but this is not completely true. There are some rifts that have fixed locations so you will always find them there no matter how many matches you play. The areas for those rifts are given below but keep in mind that if another player has already utilized a rift then you may not find it at the same place. With that said, let's look at the rift locations below:
- You will find one to the southeast of Junk Junction near the Easter Island Statue (C2 in map)
- To the east of the Pleasant Part near the Durr Burger (D3 in map)
- Near the Hill located north of indoor football pitch (C5 in the map)
- In the Viking Area around the edge of the cliff (B6 in map)
- North of Greasy Grove near Easter Island Statue (C6 in map)
- Southeast of the Shifty Shafts near Easter Island Statue (E7 in map)
- West of Lucky Landing near Easter Island Statue (E9 in map)
- East of Lucky Landing where the grass meets desert (G9 in map)
- Northwest of the Paradise Palms near a small lake (H8 in map)
- North of the Paradise Palms in the town (I8 in map)
- To the Northeast of Go Kart Track (J6 in map)
