Salty Springs is a small town with a couple of houses and a watchtower. It is located on the southern area of the map between the Fatal Fields and the Dusty Divot. The area gets a lot of visitors so be careful when you land there. Also, if you want to dominate in this area, then make sure to read the tips below:
Centrally Located:
The best thing about this area is that it is centrally located. This is good because of two things. Firstly, with Salty Springs being in the center, you will not have to worry about the circle like you do when you land in areas that are near the edges. Secondly, just because it is in the center, you will not have to walk for a long distance to get to the center of the map. This way, you will be able to secure your position in the area before others and when the circle shrinks, you will be ready for other players who will be coming this way.
Loot from Bottom to Up:
This is generally a good tip for every house that you loot but if you specifically talk about Salty Springs, then you should loot the houses from bottom to all the way to the top. Granted that chests usually spawn on the top like in attics but you will have a lot more chances of getting a weapon and especially a shotgun on the ground level of the house. And once you have the weapon, you can clear out the enemies who are on the top floor of the house.
A Lot of Loot:
This area has a lot of chests, weapons and ammo. This is one of the perks of landing in this area. If you just get a weapon at the start, you can then secure this area and get most of the loot either by opening chests or by dropping players who have collected the loot. Either way, it will be a win-win situation for you if you land there and get the weapon first. And as mentioned above, the best way to get a shotgun is to loot from the ground level of a house.
A few Early Kills:
The area always gets some visitors mostly because it is a central location. So if you are landing there, always expect some early game action. And the good thing is, if you secure a weapon early, you will be able to get some kills at the beginning of the game.
