Saying that Google has loads of data and information on its users is something probably a lot of people know. It’s just the way it is, although that doesn’t mean you can’t do anything about it. It’s the same situation with the Google Apps. They collect various information on Android users and while that’s not necessarily a bad thing, it’s still a potential privacy issue.

You may not realize this, but you can change a bunch of settings on your phone to better protect your privacy. It’s all really to the user’s preference what to restrict and what not to, but there are a few settings you should consider carefully about turning off. Anyway, these are the potential privacy issues and ways to fix them.

    ■ Find and open Google app on your phone.

    ■ In here the app stores your activity in various categories. This does have its uses by making your searches or results more personalized but if you’re worried about your privacy, you can turn them all off so that they don’t store your activity anymore. So for starters, click on Web & App activity.

    ■ You can turn in off by tapping on the blue slider. While this will stop the app from storing any future activity, this didn’t erase your previous activity. To do that, tap on Manage Activity.
