Connectivity issues or general Netflix app issues sometimes fall under error code 1011. Sometimes there is an error message following the code, other times it is blank. Regardless of how the error is represented, this guide will look at resolving the problem on multiple devices.

1. Test For Internet Connectivity

Using a web browser, navigate to www.netflix.com. It should open up normally. If you get a proxy error or internet connection error, then move on to the next step.

2. Turn Off The Host Device

Whatever device you are using to access Netflix, turn it completely off. It would also be a good idea to wait a few seconds afterwards before moving on to the next step.

3. Turn Off Your Modem

Some models will have an on/off button. If no button is present on the device, then unplugging it from the wall outlet will be your only option. Any device connected to the internet will immediately stop sending and receiving information once this is done.

4. Turn Off Your Router

Same rules apply here, some routers have the on/off switch and some need to be unplugged manually.

5. Wait It Out

Wait for a full minute before moving on to the next step.

6. Turn On The Devices

Turn on the modem first, and wait until activity lights are set. Then turn on the router and wait for all the lights on that device.
