The Galaxy Note 7 is an awesome device. It is powerful, has a fantastic screen and has a pretty decent battery too. It also seems to have issues with maintaining that battery. If you have one of these sweet devices and want to know how to fix Galaxy Note 7 battery life issues, we have a few ideas for you to try.

The Galaxy Note 7 has a 3,500mAh battery with fast charging, yet with all that power, battery drain seems an issue. Even moderate users are having trouble keeping a day’s worth of charge in their phone. Fortunately, there are a few tricks you can use to get a bit more out of it.

Fix Galaxy Note 7 battery life issues

The first thing we need to do is see what’s eating the battery. Then we need to optimize the phone a bit to get more out of it.

1. If you haven’t done it already, uninstall any manufacturer or carrier bloatware. It is notoriously badly coded and will likely be part of the cause of poor battery performance.
2. Navigate to Settings, Device maintenance, Battery and Battery usage to see what is using the most power. Disable or uninstall any you don’t use.
3. In Battery, tap the menu dots and select Advanced settings. Enable the App power monitor. This will send apps to sleep and turn off any you don’t use for 3 days.
4. Navigate to Settings, Device maintenance and Battery and enable power saving. Select the mode that suits the way you use the phone.
5. Navigate to Settings, Display and Always On Display. Turn it off or limit the time it is activated using a schedule.
6. Switch off GPS, NFC, LTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi until you need them.
7. Navigate to Settings and Apps and select the menu dots then Settings. Turn off auto-update for apps. As we know, apps constantly updating in the background is a huge power drain.

Those are the current ways to get more battery life out of a Galaxy Note 7. Once you can upgrade to Android Nougat, you will see big improvements in battery life. In the meantime, these steps will have to do.
