Although it's possible to connect any Android driven smartphone to a Windows or Mac platform and be able to access the device to retrieve your data such as videos and photos, it's a good idea to install the manufacturer's software suite to allow the end user to take advantage of any additional functionality such as performing updates and synchronization. Samsung have their own version of it dubbed KIES. This tutorial will show you how to download and install Samsung's PC Software Suite onto your system.
- ■Open your web browser and type http
/www.samsung.com/in/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/ into the address bar and hit enter.■Scroll down to see a list of KIES options that will cater to your smartphone as well as your platform's OS.
■Once you've narrowed down your OS, click on download and save the file onto a suitable destination
■Locate the executable and run in an elevated command, i.e; Right click installer>Run as Administrator
■If necessary you can change the installation directory. Accept the terms of agreement by checking the box and clicking on Next.
■Check the corresponding boxes if you'd like a desktop and/or if you'd like KIES to run after closing your installation window. Regardless you can click on Finish.
You have successfully installed KIES onto your system. You can now go about synchronizing your smartphone's data.
