How To Fix A Blurry HTC Vive Display

If you want your focus to be clear and perfect than there are two things you will need to do. This guide will show you what you need to adjust so you can enjoy in your VR experience. To solve the problem with blurry desktop on your HTC Vive follow this steps:

Solution 1. Adjust the IPD

  • Step 1. You will need to check if your IPD is adjusted properly.

    Step 2. After you have finished with the set up of your Vive put on the headset

    Step 4. Find the knob for IPD on your headset. Its located bottom right on the headset.

    Step 5. You will need to rotate the knob for IPD until you feel that your view is clear and well adjusted. Rotate it in the both directions it's, the important part is for you to find the desired focus that fits your seeing best.

    Step 6. While rotating the knob for IPD try to read some word to see if the focus is clear. Also try to first hide your right eye and read and then do the same with your left eye. This will help you adjust perfectly the IPD and make sure that the view is not blurry on the one side.

    Step 7. You only need to rotate the knob for IPD if something does not feel right in the future.

Solution 2. If your IPD is adjusted properly and you are still experiencing problems with the image on your desktop follow this steps:

  • Step 1. Pop out the gray rings that are placed on the strap mounts on bouth sides of your HTC Vive.

    Step 2. Crank the left ring
    ■ Move the entire HMD closer or further (the way that suits you best) from your eyes
