How to prolong the life of your HTC Vive Base Stations

The Vive Base stations are very important part from your VR laying experience. You need to set them properly so they can locate you while you are playing. After you place them on the right location you may need couple of tips for how to prolong their battery life. This tutorial will guide you how to successfully make this process. IF you want to prolong the battery life of your HTC Vive Base Stations than these are the following steps:

■ You base stations can stay powered all the time. If you intend to save their lifespan then you have the option to automatically power down the base stations when you are finished with playing.
■ If you want to automatically power down the base stations then:

• 
  Go to SteamVR app on your computer > Settings
  In the General tab check "Put Base Station in Standby mode when VR is not in use."
■ When you want to play again and you are ready to power on the base stations, you will need to wait a minute or two because they will need some time to power up again and start tracking. We know that it's a good feature to jump and play immediately but you will only get a high power bill and the life of the base stations will be shorter.
