The camera on the Samsung Galaxy S7 is one of the best out there. Good enough to satisfy the needs of all but a professional photographer. But how do you get the best out of it? How do you use the camera on the Samsung Galaxy S7 to get a bit more out of your images? Read on to find out!

Enable quick launch
The mark of a good photographer is always being ready. Camera phones can be slow to warm up but the quick launch option on the Galaxy S7 alleviates much of that.

1. Open the camera app and select the gear icon in the top left corner.
2. Enable Quick launch from the menu with the toggle.
3. Double tap the Home button to quickly access the camera.

Download camera modes
The default camera app is very good on the S7, but it has much more to give. Extras include downloadable camera modes that you can use to create great images.

1. Open the camera app and select the Mode button.
2. Select Download and choose the modes you want to try.
3. Experiment and have a play as some modes are better than others.

Adjusting exposure
The Galaxy S7 camera does a great job of automating most things and delivering good quality images. But if you want a little more control you can manually manage exposure.

1. When in camera mode, tap within the image screen to select the focus.
2. Slide up or down to adjust exposure and stop when the brightness is just right.
3. Adjust accordingly for each shot or not as you see fit.

Manual zoom with volume keys
One of the most useful camera features within the S7 is the manual zoom. Auto zoom does a credible job but some of us just like a little more influence over how the image is composed. This is usually enabled by default, but if it isn’t, try this.

1. Open the camera app and select the gear icon in the top left corner.
2. Access the Volume keys function and select zoom.
3. Experiment to see if it works to your liking.
